I have been away from my blog the last several weeks. There are a couple reasons for this. First off, my ideas for writing come and go like farts in the wind. Secondly, the last couple weeks I have hardly touched my PC that I love so much due to my Nintendo Wii that was just recently acquired. Apparently until recently Nintendo Wii’s have been extremely rare to find. I have been watching all the local stores in my area for something around 6 monthes until I recently discovered mine waiting for me at a Walmart in BFE, Wisconsin. Ok, the town is not actually called BFE but if you don’t know what that means, ask someone.

So just recently I also traded in my beloved platinum Gamecube and several of the lamer games I had to acquire a game and second controller for my Wii. Last night I took in 8 of my not so lame GC games and received enough store credit to purchase 1.5 brand new Wii games. The latest including The Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess. Sadly I cannot report whether or not I have enjoyed this latest purchase, but I do intend to start playing it tonight and I expect it to pull me even further away from my blogging than even Wii Sports and Rayman: The Raving Rabbids has. Both excellent games that fully demonstrate why the Wii rocks the house and why systems like the PS3 and X-Box need to be seriously re-evaluated.

Though to keep up with the PC side of things, I will throw in a quick review of the latest Command and Conquer game to come out from EA Games, Command and Conquer 3. It flipping rocks. Take note that my opinion is one of a fan of the original game. They have brought back everything that made the series great. Real movie cut scenes with actors you’ve heard of, and the corniness of the disney channel. Though the corniness is not the highpoint of the cinema cut scenes, the fact that they pull you right into the story line is. Well done EA Games. Thank you for bringing back my first love the way it was meant to be. Command and Conquer is back where it should be.
